Statement
My aim is to help adults and children improve confidence, have better relationships and increase their sense of wellbeing. My work is focused on helping people who are coping with major life changes, personal challenges or who want to find more purpose and meaning in their lives.
Lesley Stopford is an experienced Life Coach and Occupational Therapist with over 25 years working with individuals, families, young people, health professionals and various agencies.
Lesley first developed an interest in young people while still in her teens. At age 21 she worked in the USA as a Mother's Help for a family with 3 children, one of whom had severe learning disabilities and challenging behaviour and saw first-hand the emotional effects of disability both on the individual and the family and was inspired by the therapeutic input and support she saw in the States.
On returning to the UK, Lesley trained as an occupational therapist working in health & social services in various London boroughs helping children and adults with chronic health and disability issues. Her accomplished career includes working with senior managers as well as the public and involves liaising with a whole raft of experts.
A bout of ill health forced Lesley to take time out for herself. During this time she discovered life coaching and seeing the benefits it brought to her own life made the decision to train as a coach with the Coaching Academy, setting up her first business 'Inspired Coaching'. Lesley now combines her vast experience in health and social services, with coaching to offer a unique package of support to the health, education sector and individuals. She work in a style that is practical, supportive and intuitive, encouraging self awareness and personal responsibility with the aim of raising confidence, nurturing healthier relationships and creating a greater sense of well being.
